The beggining of something beautiful.

Why Hello There, Yes I am back but change is something that has occured greatly over the past few months. I wouldn't say i was who i was before at all. " A leopard never changes it spots", " People dont change" " Nothing changes, just re-arranges" are phrases i probably would have said a few month ago but untill taken back by ludacris situations, change is defnitley something i believe can occur in a person wether it be for the better or for the worse.
Now i've gotten that out of the way i'd like to write my first journal entry on something that has been making me think for quite a few hours now;

What is photography?
I don't quite believe photgraphy is quite what it used to be.. but who am i to say? I'm still very naive in my young years of being only 16. But looking now, and how dA for example used to be a few months ago, I'd say photography was now a case of either posing at myspace angles hoping that maybe if your arm can reach high enough, you'll get over 100 comments by people who don't really know or like you but hey, if it gives you security recieving random comments from people who am i to critisize? Photography is a new fad. You could become part of a young culture of taking photographs of converses or making heart shapes with your hands. You participate in a photography course because you believe it could be an easy way out. Is photography learning how to focus a camera and taking pictures of everything you see? Is photography a way to culturise you? I believe photography can be alot more than this, but at times i really wonder. I see blandness. Things drained of colour. I'd like to get lost in a photograph. I'd like to look, search, and allow a photograph to take me on an adventure.
Which makes me wonder, What DO YOU believe is photography?
